ROMANCE
This is a true romantic comedy, Chuck Palahniuk style. The author of Fight Club brings you John: a man who feels blessed that, for someone who aimed so low, he got the golden trophy. Her name is Britney. It’s Britney Spears, actually, and she’s just as hot. She may have some sort of drug problem. She seems stoned…a lot of the time. She doesn’t need to be perfect, though. It’s how much he loves her that makes her perfect. Plus, she is the epitome of sexy, using playful language and leaving the end of her sentences hanging in the air all mysteriously. She’s so out of his league. You couldn’t pull him from the clouds; it’s so perfect.
Written, directed, and produced by Andy Mingo.

BEATINGS
Based on a short story by Lidia Yuknavitch, Beatings explores the fine line between living and dying. A young man's ordinary life is thrown into crisis when he collapses one night. Later he finds out that his heart and health are in danger. The present moment gives way to an inner crisis-obsessed with the memory of his father's heart attack at the age of thirty-three. The young man turns to the three forms which safely house his passions: boxing, the cello, and the love he has for his wife and son. In images of boxing, the man seems to be expressing a violence. When he plays the cello, the same intensity is played out at the level of music. His struggle is thus staged between violence.
Directed and edited by Andy Mingo.
